At SAES, our faculty and staff are all Montessori certified and combined have over one hundred and ten years of expereince working with young children in Montessori school settings.

Toddler I

Michelle Balch – Lead Teacher, Associates Degree in Child Development and Family Studies with an Infant/Toddler Montessori Certification North Harris College: 14 years experience working with young children.

Gredel Blanco –Teaching Assistant, Montessori Infant/Toddler Assistant’s Certification: 3 years experience working with young children.

Toddler II

Bonnie Pena – Lead Teacher, Associates Degree in Child Development North Harris College, Director Certification, Montessori Early Childhood Assistant's Certification: 18 years experience working with young children.

Sonya Donaldson - Co-Lead Teacher, Montessori 3-6 Certification: 5 years experience working in preschool and Montessori settings with young children.

Early Childhood

Felicia Bates - Lead Teacher, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Montessori 3-6 Certification: 10 years experience working in preschools and Montessori settings with young children.

Denise Taylor-Joshua – Teaching Assistant, 31 years working in the Houston I.S.D. schools, 22 years of experience working in a Montessori Magnet School (ages 3 - 9, Montessori Pre Primary Certification 1974.

Celine Webb - Teaching Assistant, Montessori Assistant's Certification 2009: 2 years experienceworking with young children.

Administration

Janet Matthews, Head of School - 28 years experience working in Montessori education as Lead Teacher, Program Director's Certification, AMS Leadership Course 2006.

 

Alicia Perez-Guevara, Administrative Assistant – Montessori 3-6 Certification 1997, supervision of a Montessori program for 5 years: 13 years experience working within Montessori settings with young children.
